Dr Marilu Orozco-Peterson graduated from Yale University in May, 1992 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biochemistry and Biophysics. Her medical degree was received from the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine in May of 1996. Her residency was done at the University of Illinois in Family Medicine. She opened Heritage Family Medicine in October of 2002, and specialized in the complete care of the family.

Our administrator, Aaron received his Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1998. He flew for the airlines for 10 years and continues to fly Helicopters for the Colorado Army National Guard. He opened Heritage Family Medicine with Dr Orozco-Peterson in 2002.

Scott- (Operations Manager)-Our Operations Manager, Scott Talbot served in the Marine Corps from 1992-1996. While persuing a degree in music education he began a career as a supervisor in Transportation that continued for 12 years.  Now managing operations for Heritage Family Medicine he also enjoys camping with his 2 daughters and his wife.

Kayla

Kayla- (Medical Assistant) is a graduate of IBMC with an Associate’s degree in Medical Assisting. She is also a Registered Medical Assistant with the American Medical Technologists Society. Kayla is married with two young children Boone and Siriana, and they recently added a new member to the family, a beagle puppy named Hazel. She is very excited to be a part of Heritage Family Medicine and looks forward to meeting all of our patients.

Carole- (Receptionist)-Carole has worked in the Medical, Chiropractic, or lab field for thirty years.  She has three grown children and four grandchildren.  Carole loves to travel now that her children are grown.  She lives with her longtime companion Dennis and dog Jada.  Besides travel and visiting the grand kids, camping and home improvements are her favorite activities.  Carole LOVES,LOVES working at Heritage Family Medicine.

Jessica- (Admin Assistant)- Jessica has lived in Fort Collins for 13 years. She is a graduate of Colorado State University in Human Development and Family Studies. She has a son and 2 dogs that she enjoys spending all her time with. She is also an avid reader and passionate gardener.

Our Billing specialist, Tracy has worked in billing for 17 years. She worked for local newspapers and chiropractic offices before coming to Heritage Family Medicine. She lives in Erie with her husband and 2 children, and they love to go camping. Tracy has done billing and accounting for HFM for 5 years.
